Finally MT is back again, but unfortunately the site was completely inactive for a whole year; we apologize for that. During that time we came across several difficulties and professional engagements that made it impossible to manage the site. At the end, I (the director of MT) was left alone becoming the only responsible for the whole project and site. But thanks to all the e-mails and support that we received in the mean time though (we read and took in consideration all the e-mails that we received), encouraged me to go on with the project all by myself; it is amazing how many e-mails we received from all around the world asking about the site, or congratulating us for such a project. Since then the MT number of readers grew bigger and bigger without a pause, creating a big contemporary music community from all around the world: Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Salvador, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, U.K., Uruguay, U.S.A., Venezuela.

Completely amazed upon this feedback, I made up my mind and decided to continue with the project (alone), but making some practical changes, so that the site remains active and stable; you can read these updates and changes on the CHANGES IN MT header.

Once again thanks to all of you out there who make and made it possible for this project to stay alive. Can you believe that some people say that contemporary music is dead? I THINK NOT. (by the way other interesting projects and proposals, that I will let you know in the right moment, grew upon MT’s development.)

I love writing music and have dedicated all my life to contemporary music and art, so as long as I live I will do my best to create and develop projects like MT, that not only feeds my personal interests, but also those of a WHOLE COMMUNITY that is hungry of creativity and invention.

Sincerely yours,

Mauricio Vázquez
